First Natalie Portman reportedly based her baby’s first name on the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Now David and Victoria Beckham have given their daughter a middle name inspired by a number.
David Beckham announced on Facebook that he and wife Victoria Beckham have named their new baby girl, born Sunday morning at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, Harper Seven Beckham.
Before it became a TV series the books The Wizard of Waverly places series were based on a book, a favourite story in the Beckham household at bedtime.
A source told the Daily Mail that “Victoria loved it because it’s an Olde English named and even though Harper is an American by birth, she will always have English roots.”
The Beckhams are not the only celebrities to come up with the unusual name. Dave Grohl, lead singer of rock band Foo Fighters, has a daughter named Harper and Mylenee Klass used the name as a middle name for her daughter Hero.
Harper’s middle name Seven, which has fans divided, is David’s lucky number and his squad number for both Manchester United and England.
